Car subscription with this car
Want the 2001 Lexus ES as a car by the month? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
What the specs mean
Power: the 3.0L 6-cylinder; drive: front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
By the EPA's combined rating of 11.8 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 35 litres. That works out to about $18.29 per 100 km at our price setting.
Best uses
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
Space and size
As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. With 368 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Can I rent it?
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
Before pickup
Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.
You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.
Getting the car booked
First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
