The 1998 Lexus GS: Car subscription
If you need a car by the month, read about the 1998 Lexus GS here, then request it. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
Engine and fuel
The powertrain to know here is the 3.0L 6-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Combined fuel use is 12.4 L/100 km: about 37 litres for 300 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $21.70 at our price setting.
Living with the GS
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is rated at 425 litres: a family's bags for a long weekend.
Is it right for your trip?
It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Requirements
Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.
Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
How booking works
Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.
Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
