Car subscription and the 2015 Lexus GX

Car subscription: the 2015 Lexus GX. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain to know here is the 4.6L 8-cylinder, with four-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

By the EPA's combined rating of 13.9 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 42 litres. At our price setting, it costs about $24.33 to drive 100 km.

Who it is for

It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

What to expect from the GX

It offers the space of an SUV with the height that makes loading easy.

Can you rent one?

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.

The booking steps

Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Requirements

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

Your move

If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.
