About the 2011 Lexus IS
Car subscription: the 2011 Lexus IS. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
Reading the spec sheet
The 2.5L 6-cylinder is what moves it, with rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
The combined figure, 9.7 L/100 km, means roughly 29 litres for 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $50.91 at our price setting.
Inside and out
Being a small car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. With 311 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who rents the IS
It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
Renting it
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
What we ask of drivers
From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
Booking in plain terms
Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
Ready to ask?
