Car subscription with this car
Searching for car subscription? Here is the 2016 Lexus IS: what it is like and how to rent it. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Specs, explained
Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, driving through an 8-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
It is rated at 9.1 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 27 litres. A 300 km weekend costs about $47.79 in energy at our price setting.
The IS in everyday use
As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. The EPA lists 311 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who it is for
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.
Renting the IS from CarmaCars

Renting: the basics
Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
What to expect when you book
The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.
Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
