The figures, translated
It uses the 5.0L 8-cylinder hybrid and all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.
At 11.2 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 34 litres of fuel. Expect about $17.36 per 100 km at our price setting.
When the LS makes sense
It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
What the LS is like
As a mid-size car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. The trunk holds 340 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Renting it
Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
How to book
Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.
Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
What we check
We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
