The rules, briefly
Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
The steps
Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
