Car subscription with this car
This page looks at the 2015 Lexus RX for anyone searching for car subscription. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Under the hood
Under the hood: the 3.5L 6-cylinder hybrid and front-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
Its combined rating is 8.0 L/100 km, which means roughly 24 litres for 300 km. In money, 1,000 km costs about $124 at our price setting.
Who it is for
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.
The RX in everyday use
The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.
Our RX cars
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Who qualifies
Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.
Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
The booking steps
First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.
The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
Your move
When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age.
