Car subscription and the 2017 Lexus RX
Here is the 2017 Lexus RX, for anyone after a car by the month. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Specs, explained
The 3.5L 6-cylinder hybrid is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.
For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 24 litres, from its 7.9 L/100 km rating. In money, 1,000 km costs about $122.50 at our price setting.
When the RX makes sense
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
Space, size and seats
The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.
Getting one from us
Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
How a booking comes together
You request the car online with your dates, and you pay nothing to send it. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
What we check
Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.
Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
