Car subscription: the Lotus Esprit
This page joins two things: car subscription, and the Lotus Esprit in plain words. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
What the figures tell you
No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.
Good uses for the Esprit
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
Inside and out
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo.
Renting it
Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
From your dates to the handover
It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.
Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
The rules, briefly
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

Tell us your dates and where you want the car, and we will do the rest.

Can I rent a Lotus Esprit in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $0 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
