Car subscription and the 2011 Maybach 62
If you need a car by the month, the 2011 Maybach 62 is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
Reading the spec sheet
Under the hood: the 6.0L 12-cylinder turbo and rear-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
The EPA rates it at 19.1 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 57 litres. That works out to about $33.43 per 100 km at our price setting.
Who rents the 62
It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Living with the 62
Being a large sedan, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. For luggage, 425 litres means a family's bags for a long weekend.
