Car subscription: the 2016 Mazda 6
Searching for car subscription? Here is the 2016 Mazda 6: what it is like and how to rent it. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Specs, explained
The 2.5L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
It is rated 7.6 L/100 km combined: about 23 litres every 300 km. For 1,000 km, budget about $117.80 at our price setting.
When the 6 makes sense
It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Practical details
As a mid-size car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. EPA lists 425 litres of luggage space, enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

Driver requirements
We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
Requesting a car
Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
