The 1998 Mazda MPV: Car subscription
Car subscription: the 1998 Mazda MPV. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Reading the spec sheet
It uses the 3.0L 6-cylinder and rear-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
A combined rating of 13.8 L/100 km works out to about 41 litres per 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $64.17 in energy at our price setting.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.
How big it is
Being a van, it carries people and their bags without fuss.
Our MPV cars
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
How it works
First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
What we need from you
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.
Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
