Car subscription and the 2012 MINI Cooper
Want the 2012 MINI Cooper as a car by the month? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
The numbers in plain words
The engine is the 1.6L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 23 litres, from its 7.6 L/100 km rating. A 300 km weekend costs about $39.90 in energy at our price setting.
Inside and out
As a sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second. Luggage space is rated at 170 litres: about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a summer weekend or a special occasion more than a move.
Renting this car
There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
Getting the car booked
It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
What you need to rent
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.
Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
Still deciding?
The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
