Renting the 2013 MINI Cooper
For a car by the month, the 2013 MINI Cooper could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Under the hood
Its powertrain is the 1.6L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
The combined figure, 7.7 L/100 km, means roughly 23 litres for 300 km. Expect about $13.48 per 100 km at our price setting.
Who rents the Cooper
It suits a summer weekend or a special occasion more than a move. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
Inside and out
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo. Luggage space is rated at 170 litres: about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Getting one from us
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Rules for renters
You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
How renting with us works
Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
