Engine and fuel

It uses the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo and rear-wheel drive. It runs on diesel, sold at most highway stations. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

Combined fuel use is 9.0 L/100 km: about 27 litres for 300 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $13.95 at our price setting.

Good uses for the 1500

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Room inside

A pickup is long and tall, so plan for parking and low garages.

Can I rent it?

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.

Requesting a car

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

What to bring

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

Your move

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
