Renting for Ruby

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Ruby. Ruby is about 3,105 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.

Around Ruby you will also find Old Glory, Oro Blanco and Casa Piedra.

Reading the spec sheet

Its 6.2L 8-cylinder supercharged drives through an 8-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

Expect about 59 litres for every 300 km, going by its 19.8 L/100 km combined rating. At our price setting, it costs about $34.65 to drive 100 km.

The 1500 in everyday use

It is built for loads that would never fit in a trunk.

Who rents the 1500

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size.

In our fleet

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

Driver basics

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

Request, offer, keys

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Still deciding?

Request a car, read the offer, and decide. That is the whole process.
