Before you rent

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

From request to keys

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
