Specs, explained
The powertrain to know here is the 4.2L 8-cylinder, with rear-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
The EPA rates it at 15.7 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 47 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $24.34, and a 300 km weekend about $73.02.
What the C8 is like
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo. With 113 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
A good match for
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Before pickup
If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.
Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
