The 2009 Subaru Outback: Car subscription
If a car by the month is the plan, the 2009 Subaru Outback is worth a look; here is why. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
Engine and fuel
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Best uses
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
What to expect from the Outback
Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.
Rent it from us
Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Request, offer, keys
The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
Renting: the basics
Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
Ready to ask?
Questions, dates or both: put them in a request and we answer.

Can I rent a 2009 Subaru Outback in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
