Renting the 2018 Tesla Model 3
For a car by the month, here is what the 2018 Tesla Model 3 brings, and how to request one. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Reading the spec sheet
Power: the electric motor; drive: rear-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
For every 100 km it uses about 16.6 kWh. Its rated range is 499 km on a full charge; real range drops in cold weather and at highway speeds. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $2.49, and a 300 km weekend about $7.47.
Who rents the Model 3
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
What the Model 3 is like

How renting with us works
Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
Driver basics
We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
