Engine and fuel

The engine is the electric motor, with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Before pickup

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
