The powertrain here is the electric motor with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Before you rent

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

The steps

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
