What we check

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

From request to keys

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
