What the specs mean

Under the hood: the electric motor and all-wheel drive. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It uses 18.6 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 56 kWh of charge. A full charge is rated for 507 km; plan for less in the cold. The electricity for 100 km comes to about $2.79 at our price setting.

Renting: the basics

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
