Reading the spec sheet

The electric motor does the work, through a 1-speed automatic. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

At 18.6 kWh/100 km, a 300 km day uses roughly 56 kWh. Rated range: 507 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. That works out to about $2.79 per 100 km at our price setting.

Practical details

Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA measures its luggage space at 425 litres, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.

When the Model 3 makes sense

It suits city driving and anyone with charging at home or work. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Our Model 3 cars

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below.

The steps

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

What to have ready

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
