What happens when you ask for a car

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Driver basics

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
