Car subscription with this car
For a car by the month, here is what the 2016 Tesla Model S brings, and how to request one. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Reading the spec sheet
The electric motor does the work, through a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.
It uses 21.0 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 63 kWh of charge. The EPA rates its range at 507 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $9.45 at our price setting.
What the Model S is like
As a large sedan, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. In plain terms, its 736 litres of luggage space hold bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.
A good match for
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.
