Renting the 2000 Volvo C70
Car subscription and the 2000 Volvo C70: the figures first, then how to rent it from CarmaCars. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement.
Specs, explained
The 2.3L 5-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 5-speed manual. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
The EPA rates it at 11.5 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 35 litres. At our price setting, it costs about $20.13 to drive 100 km.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Living with the C70
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Booking, step by step
The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
Renting: the basics
Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
