Car subscription and the Volvo VNL
Want the Volvo VNL as a car by the month? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.
The figures, translated
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
When the VNL makes sense
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
Practical details
As a car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight.
Getting one from us
None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Requirements
We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
Booking in plain terms
Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Can I rent a Volvo VNL in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
