Specs, explained

Its 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid drives through a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

The EPA rates it at 8.3 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 25 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $38.61 at our price setting.

Living with the A4

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Good uses for the A4

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

Can you rent one?

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.

Checking your details

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

Booking with CarmaCars

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
