Engine and fuel

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

It is rated 8.3 L/100 km combined: about 25 litres every 300 km. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.87, and a 300 km weekend about $38.61.

Room inside

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. In plain terms, its 340 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Can you rent one?

Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.

The booking steps

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.

Who can rent

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.
