What we ask of drivers

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Requesting a car

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.
