Car with driver: the 2016 Ford Taurus
Want to know if the 2016 Ford Taurus suits a car with a driver? Read on. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
Engine and fuel
The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo is what moves it, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
The EPA rates it at 10.2 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 31 litres. Every 100 km costs about $15.81 in fuel at our price setting.
Who it is for
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
Inside and out
Being a large sedan, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. In plain terms, its 566 litres of luggage space hold bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.
Renting the Taurus from CarmaCars
If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Requesting a car
A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.
You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
What to have ready
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.
Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
