The rules, briefly

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

From your dates to the handover

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
