The Compass and Java

Java is about 1,933 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

Nearby places include Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

What the specs mean

Under the hood: the 2.4L 4-cylinder and front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

It is rated 9.3 L/100 km combined: about 28 litres every 300 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $14.42 at our price setting.

When the Compass makes sense

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Size and space

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Can I rent it?

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Driver requirements

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

How a booking comes together

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Questions first?

Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
