Car with driver: the 2014 MINI Cooper
Want to know if the 2014 MINI Cooper suits a car with a driver? Read on. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
The figures, translated
Power comes from the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo, driving through a 6-speed manual. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
The EPA rates it at 7.2 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 22 litres. At our price setting, it costs about $12.60 to drive 100 km.
The Cooper in everyday use
As a two-seat sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second. In plain terms, its 255 litres of luggage space hold about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
When the Cooper makes sense
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Can you rent one?
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
How renting with us works
You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. You pay when you approve, and only then.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
Licence, age and card
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.
Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
Next step
If a car here fits, request it for your dates.
