Bald Knobs and the 1500

We have no location in Bald Knobs; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 568 km away. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Bald Knobs.

Close by are Merritt, Stiversville and Oldtown Flats, each with its own page.

What the specs mean

Power: the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo; drive: rear-wheel drive. It runs on diesel, sold at most highway stations. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

At 9.0 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 27 litres of fuel. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $139.50.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

What the 1500 is like

As a pickup truck, it has an open bed for things that would never fit in a trunk.

Can I rent it?

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Rules for renters

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

How booking works

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
