The rules, briefly

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

From your dates to the handover

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
