The 2016 Toyota Corolla S: Car with driver

Car with driver: the 2016 Toyota Corolla S. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.

The Corolla and Java

Java is about 1,639 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Selby, Lowry and Sitka are the closest places to Java on our list.

The numbers in plain words

The 1.8L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

The combined figure, 7.5 L/100 km, means roughly 23 litres for 300 km. Expect about $11.63 per 100 km at our price setting.

Living with the Corolla

Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. In plain terms, its 368 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

A good match for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

What we check

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Booking in plain terms

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Your move

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
