Your 640xi and a ceramic coating
CarmaCars takes requests for a ceramic coating on the 2018 BMW 640xi, and rents you a car while yours is in. A coating protects the gloss; it does not stop stone chips the way film does. A ceramic coating goes on after the paint is corrected and makes the car easier to wash.
About your 640xi
A car of this size is quick to work on compared with a large SUV. Premium cars often have more trim and sensors to work around; mention any options in your request. Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next.
Booking a time
Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. Send the year, the trim and what you want done; photos make the price more accurate. Ask anything about the work in the request.
A car while yours is in
Your rental can be waiting when you drop your car off. Rent by the day while your car is in, delivered to you. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
What affects the price
If you only need part of the work, say so and we quote that part. The condition of the car matters too; heavy dirt, deep scratches or rust take longer. The size of the car matters: an SUV or a van has more surface than a compact car.
How long you are without it
Coatings and paint need time to cure, which is part of the schedule. A clear timeline comes with every quote.
Aftercare
Look over the work in daylight when you collect the car. Regular washes in winter help keep road salt from attacking the paint.
What to bring
Ask any question you have before the work starts. Leave a phone number where we can reach you during the day. Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work.
