The 2012 BMW 650xi: Ceramic coating
CarmaCars takes requests for a ceramic coating on the 2012 BMW 650xi, and rents you a car while yours is in. A ceramic coating goes on after the paint is corrected and makes the car easier to wash. A coating protects the gloss; it does not stop stone chips the way film does.
About your 650xi
Mention the trim and options, so we plan around sensors and trim pieces. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. We note the car's condition with you when it comes in.
Your request
Tell us whether you can drop the car off or need it collected. If the job turns out larger, we ask you before doing more. Send the year, the trim and what you want done; photos make the price more accurate.
A rental meanwhile
Add a rental to your request, and we deliver it to you. Your rental can be waiting when you drop your car off. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
What to bring
If you need a rental, add it to the request so it is ready when you arrive. Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to. Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work.
Why prices differ
A quote from us is free and comes with no obligation. Photos let us give a closer price before we see the car in person. If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price.
When the car is ready
Book a little ahead for larger jobs; small ones can be quicker to schedule. A wash or a light detail takes hours; paint correction, film and coatings can take days.
After the work
A quick wipe of bird droppings and sap stops them from marking the paint. Keep the invoice with your records; it helps when you sell the car.
