The work on your Model Y
CarmaCars takes requests for a ceramic coating on the 2021 Tesla Model Y, and rents you a car while yours is in. A coating protects the gloss; it does not stop stone chips the way film does. A ceramic coating goes on after the paint is corrected and makes the car easier to wash.
What your car means for the work
As a compact SUV, it has more paint, glass and interior than a small car, so the work takes longer. Mention the trim and options, so we plan around sensors and trim pieces. Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next.
Getting a quote
Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off. Tell us whether you can drop the car off or need it collected. We reply within one business day with a time and a price.
A rental while we work
Keep driving while it is detailed: we deliver a rental and collect it when yours is ready. Add a rental to your request, and we deliver it to you. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
What to bring
Empty the trunk and the door pockets so every surface can be reached. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to.
How long it takes
If the car must stay overnight, we tell you before it comes in. Collect the car when it is ready, or ask us to arrange the handover.
Aftercare
Keep the invoice with your records; it helps when you sell the car. A coating makes washing easier, but the car still needs regular washes.
Pricing, plainly
We explain the price in plain words if anything is unclear. A quote from us is free and comes with no obligation. If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price.
