About the 2011 BMW Active E
Want the 2011 BMW Active E as a car with a driver? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
Under the hood
The electric motor, paired with a 1-speed automatic, drives it. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
It uses 20.5 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 62 kWh of charge. Its rated range is 151 km on a full charge; real range drops in cold weather and at highway speeds. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $9.24 at our price setting.
Room inside
Being a small car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Luggage space is rated at 170 litres: about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
A good match for
It suits people who want to try an electric car before buying one. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.
Rent it from us
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Requirements
Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
What to expect when you book
The process opens with a request from you, which costs nothing and binds you to nothing. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.
Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
Want a price?
When you have your dates, send a request. It is free, and the offer shows the full price.
