Chauffeur service and the Mazda MX-5
If a car with a driver is the plan, the Mazda MX-5 is worth a look; here is why. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
The figures, translated
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
What to expect from the MX-5
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo. The one in our fleet seats 2.
Who it is for
It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
In our fleet
A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. 1 of our cars match this page; each shows its rates and calendar. Delivery starts at $75 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
How to book
Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.
What you need to rent
You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.
Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.

Can I rent a Mazda MX-5 in Toronto?
Yes. We have one on the site now, each with its own calendar and price. Choose your dates on the car's page and send a request; nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
