The work on your Outback
CarmaCars takes requests for paint protection film on the 2014 Subaru Outback, and rents you a car while yours is in. Paint protection film is a clear layer on the parts of the car that take stone chips, like the hood and bumper.
Your Outback, up close
Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. As a compact SUV, it has more paint, glass and interior than a small car, so the work takes longer. If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos.
The request
A person reads your request and replies with the next step. Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. If the job turns out larger, we ask you before doing more.
Stay on the road
We collect the rental when your car is ready. Add a rental to the same request as the work. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
What affects the price
We price the job before we start, never after. The quote shows the price for your car and what it includes. Larger vehicles take more product and more hours, so they cost more.
A few things first
Empty the trunk and the door pockets so every surface can be reached. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to.
After the work
Park out of direct sun when you can to protect paint and interior. Keep a soft cloth in the car for small marks.
Planning around the work
A clear timeline comes with every quote. Weather and curing times can change the schedule for some work.
