A note on Java

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 770 km from Java, and does not deliver there. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

The pages for Lucks, Ebenezer and Shockoe cover the areas next door.

What the figures tell you

It runs the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.87, and a 300 km weekend about $38.61.

Good uses for the A4

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Practical details

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. EPA lists 340 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can I rent it?

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

How renting with us works

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

What to have ready

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
