What the specs mean

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

By the EPA's combined rating of 8.3 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 25 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $38.61 at our price setting.

Good uses for the A4

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

What to expect from the A4

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Its 340 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

In our fleet

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.

How to book

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Checking your details

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
