The A4 and Hackney

Under the hood

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid does the work, through a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Its combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km, which means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. Expect about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

Practical details

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA measures its luggage space at 340 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who it is for

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Getting this car from us

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.

How renting with us works

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

What to have ready

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

One more step

Pick the car that fits the trip and send a request.
