Reading the spec sheet

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It is rated 8.3 L/100 km combined: about 25 litres every 300 km. For 1,000 km, budget about $128.70 at our price setting.

What to expect from the A4

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. For luggage, 340 litres means about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Renting the A4 from CarmaCars

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.

Before pickup

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

Booking made plain

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Next step

When you have your dates, send a request. It is free, and the offer shows the full price.
